Dr. Plevan prepares, prosecutes, and defends patent and trademark applications for global clients before the European Patent Office, the European Intellectual Property Office, and the German Patent and Trademark Office. Dr. Plevan also handles patent nullity proceedings and appeals before the German Federal Patent Court, the German Supreme Court, and the Board of Appeal of the European Patent Office. In addition to his native German, Dr. Plevan is proficient in English and in Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Plevan’s technical expertise is in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and telecommunications and video coding standard essential patents. Dr. Plevan’s doctoral research in liquid metal reactors and hydrogen production has been published in the prestigious International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. Dr. Plevan also has extensive experience in complex energy and turbo engine technologies. Nevertheless, Dr. Plevan has authored hundreds of patent applications on inventions such as solar cells, rare earth mining, oceanic renewable energy systems, automotive batteries, gearboxes, auto parts, vehicle braking systems, high-frequency measurement devices, hydraulics, electric boat propulsion systems, and heavy-duty gas engines.
