 ATTORNEY AT LAW

Negin Kordbacheh’s primary practice areas are intellectual property and commercial transactions. She protects assets under copyright and trademark rights. She advises clients on branding initiatives, digital currency risks and asset protection via blockchain. Her practice covers e commerce and Internet-related legal matters. Negin counsels’ clients on remedies available under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and how to quickly remove take-down notices that would unjustifiably cause large sales losses to small business. She also advises clients on regulatory compliance issues which they need to be aware of when starting new businesses, including the CAN-SPAM Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) compliance issues.

 

Negin’s legal practice grows out of her entrepreneurial experiences in e-commerce. She is in touch with contemporary thought leaders and business innovations, and, from the perspective of a business owner, she assimilates her thorough understanding of legal issues as they arise in new business processes. Then, with her diverse experience set, she often provides creative and very sound legal advice. Simply put, as businesses are quick to embrace the innovative commercial opportunities of our digital world, Negin applies eclectic approaches, needed now more than ever, to identify and address the  growing flux of new legal issues rising on the rapidly growing landscape of emerging technologies.

 

She is a recipient of the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s 2021-2023 Fellowship[NK1]  Award. Through the Business Law Section, she works with judges and leading practitioners in the state to impact and contribute to areas such as white papers and legislation. She edited and provided comments on a white paper helping successfully convert the blockchain & cryptocurrency six-year task force to a standing committee. In addition, she presented a continuing legal education course on “NFTs and Copyright’s First Sale Doctrine - Panel Discussion for the IP Committee” at the 2022 Annual Florida Bar Convention. She also coauthored, “A Glimpse into Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, Applications, and Regulation” on the Business Law Section’s Blog. Negin’s involvement with the Business Law Section allows her to stay current on emerging state and federal issues surrounding new technologies to better advise her clients.

BACKGROUND

EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS:

Negin received her J.D. from Florida International University College of Law, and obtained her B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Florida Atlantic University. She is a member of The Florida Bar, 2014.
